Drawing from his decades of experience as a performer, composer, and educator, Peter will share tools for creating lyrics and melodies that connect, finding your unique voice as a songwriter, and shaping songs that are both personal and universal. This session is designed for anyone interested in songwriting — from beginners looking for a starting point to experienced musicians seeking fresh inspiration. Expect practical guidance, creative prompts, and plenty of encouragement from one of jazz’s most versatile and imaginative artists. About Peter Eldridge Peter Eldridge is a Grammy Award–winning vocalist, pianist, composer, and educator best known as a co-founder of the vocal group New York Voices. With a career spanning more than three decades, he has released multiple solo albums of original music, performed internationally, and collaborated with artists such as Bobby McFerrin, Michael Brecker, Jane Monheit, and Becca Stevens. In addition to his performing career, Peter is a respected educator, having taught at Berklee College of Music, the Manhattan School of Music, and beyond, where he continues to inspire singers and songwriters around the world.
