Cyrill Aimée Master Class
November 16, 3PM ET
サービス内容
Join internationally acclaimed, Grammy-nominated vocalist Cyrille Aimée for a special JazzVoice master class exploring improvisation, interpretation, creativity, and the freedom to make a song your own. Cyrille will work one-on-one with three singers, sharing her approach to phrasing, rhythm, storytelling, improvisation, and spontaneous musical interaction. Known for her fearless creativity and unmistakable personal style, she brings a perspective shaped by jazz, French and Caribbean music, and a lifetime of crossing musical and cultural boundaries. Winner of the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition, Cyrille has performed and recorded with artists including Roy Hargrove and Wynton Marsalis and was invited by Stephen Sondheim to perform in a special tribute to his music alongside Bernadette Peters. Her recording of Sondheim’s “Marry Me a Little” received a Grammy nomination, and her album à Fleur de Peau earned another Grammy nomination. Raised in Samois-sur-Seine, France—home of the Django Reinhardt Festival—Cyrille grew up surrounded by both the Gypsy jazz tradition and the Afro-Caribbean rhythms of her Dominican heritage. That remarkable musical upbringing continues to inform an approach built around spontaneity, connection, groove, and the belief that improvisation is not simply a jazz technique, but a way of creating and communicating. Whether you’re singing in the master class or observing, this is a chance to experience the creative process of one of today’s most distinctive jazz vocalists up close—and discover new possibilities for your own music.
