A supportive, interactive, and hands-on environment is immediately created where students feel comfortable and safe as they are guided out of their “comfort zones” and encouraged to try new ideas. A multitude of topics are structured to lead students on a journey of exploration that results in increased vocal and performance skills. In 2019 she joined the faculty of the Conservatory of Music at the University of the Pacific (CA); served on the President's Advisory Council for the Jazz Education Network (JEN) from 2016 - 2018; was Artistic Director for the west coast’s DeMiero Jazz Fest from 2011 to 2018 where she created the Dee Daniels Jazz Vocal Scholarship awarded annually at the festival in 2017; was on the faculty of the vocal department of the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College (NY) 2013 - 2014. Also in 2013 to 2015, she created a week-long Dee Daniels Vocal Jazz Workshop at the Sitka (Alaska) Fine Arts Camp; from 2001 through 2017, she was the creator and donor for the Dee Daniels Jazz Vocal Scholarship at the Capilano University in North Vancouver, BC. She was the first artist to serve on the advisory board of the Lionel Hampton International Jazz Festival (2002 - 2008), and has received several awards for her contribution in the field of music performance, music education, and community service. Please review the following important policies before finalizing your booking: 📅 Flexible Scheduling Notice The availability you see when booking is an estimate based on the teacher’s general availability. Many of our instructors are touring artists and active performers, so the exact time you select may not be possible. After booking, you’ll be connected directly with your teacher to confirm or reschedule your lesson. ⏰ Booking Window To help ensure smooth scheduling and preparation, we don't permit you to book lessons less than 48 hours in advance.
