Atla DeChamplain is a jazz vocalist, lyricist, and educator who serves as Assistant Teaching Professor of Amplified Voice at the University of Rhode Island, where she teaches jazz, gospel, and popular music. A dedicated performer and musician, she holds degrees from the Jackie McLean Institute of Jazz (Hartt School) and the University of Toledo, where she studied with the legendary Jon Hendricks. Her artistry blends jazz, gospel, blues, and R&B influences, and she’s widely recognized for her vocalese work and expressive musicality.

Please review the following important policies before finalizing your booking: 📅 Flexible Scheduling Notice The availability you see when booking is an estimate based on the teacher’s general availability. Many of our instructors are touring artists and active performers, so the exact time you select may not be possible. After booking, you’ll be connected directly with your teacher to confirm or reschedule your lesson. ⏰ Booking Window To help ensure smooth scheduling and preparation, we don't permit you to book lessons less than 48 hours in advance.
