For the “Recovering Soprano” Learning to Sing Jazz Are you a recovering soprano — someone with a classical or head-voice-dominant background who suddenly finds jazz feeling… tricky? Do you feel stuck in head voice when you try to phrase, swing, or dig into the groove? Welcome to S.A. (Sopranos Anonymous) — a supportive, good-humored workshop where you can admit it, explore it, and finally break free of the “recovering soprano” trap. Stephanie Nakasian — one of the most versatile and celebrated jazz vocalists of our time — will guide you through: • Finding mix and chest-voice colors safely • Loosening classical habits that don’t serve jazz • Building a warm, grounded, flexible approach to tone • Adding personality, groove, and authenticity to your jazz phrasing • Keeping the beauty of your soprano voice while expanding your palette If you’ve ever wished you could access more stylistic freedom, more rhythmic play, and more expressive colors in jazz, this class is for you. Cancellation Policy
🎶 JazzVoice Member Class Booking & Cancellation Policy For JazzVoice Members: ($45/month $460/year) If you have an active JazzVoice membership, you're welcome to book and cancel member classes at any time. There's no penalty for cancelling, and it has no impact on your access. As a member, you also have unlimited access to both live classes and video recordings of all past sessions. For One-Off Class Purchasers ($15 per class): Your $15 purchase gives you access only to the live session—recordings are not included. If you’d prefer to watch the class later, you can purchase just the video (without attending live) for $15. Video recordings are available under the Videos tab at JazzVoice.com. Please be sure you can attend before booking, as we do not offer refunds for missed or cancelled classes.
