Showcasing modern sensibilities, Allgood is a fearless vocalist known for her confident musical interaction, fierce improvisation, and vulnerable expression.Downbeat Magazine has praised her “boldness, swagger, and surefooted musicianship” while the New York City Jazz Record has recognized her “force, clarity and jazz integrity.” Alyssa is an in demand clinician, ensemble director, adjudicator and private lesson instructor who uses her experience on the bandstand to empower students and nurture their artistic journey. Allgood's teaching work has appeared at the Jazz Education Network Conference, the Illinois Music Educators Association, the Iowa Choral Directors Association, Anchor Music’s Vocal Jazz Academy, the University of North Texas' Jazz Lecture Series and many other esteemed institutions.

Many of our instructors are touring artists and active performers, so the exact time you select may not be possible. After booking, you’ll be connected directly with your teacher to confirm or reschedule your lesson. ⏰ Booking Window To help ensure smooth scheduling and preparation, we don't permit you to book lessons less than 48 hours in advance.
