with Lauren Kinhan, October 25, 3PM ET
서비스 내용
In The Art of Phrasing, acclaimed vocalist Lauren Kinhan explores the choices that bring a song to life. Through listening, experimentation, and practical exercises, singers will explore rhythm, melody, lyrics, and personal expression, discovering new ways to shape a phrase and make a song their own. Lauren brings more than three decades of experience as a member of the internationally acclaimed New York Voices, along with an extensive career as a solo artist, composer, improviser, and educator. Her work spans jazz, pop, singer-songwriter, folk, and R&B, and she has performed and recorded with artists including Ornette Coleman and Bobby McFerrin. A longtime educator and mentor, Lauren currently teaches at New York University and Queens College’s Aaron Copland School of Music, working with singers and instrumentalists at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
